I’m back with one more game, the third in what I’m going to call my “Sokoban trilogy.” Pushbot & Minibot is my thirtieth game! Wow, thirty games!
This one took me a little longer than I intended, but life is always a bit too busy around the end of the year. I don’t have much to say about the game (I think it speaks for itself well enough), so I’ll just muse about the games I’ve played since last time. In my post on The Pearl, I mentioned some games I was looking forward to. So how did those turn out? Well, I haven’t played Yooka-Laylee yet, but it’s hitting the Switch in just a few days, so I will likely play it soon. Poi was delightful! Although it’s full of leaderboards… (Why?! Can’t I just be happy that I beat it? Did I need to know that I came in 856th place?) Snake Pass was pretty good as well, though there were two levels that I found to be unforgivably difficult. One of them was the last level, though, so maybe I should forgive that. I haven’t beaten A Hat in Time yet because I had to stop playing it so I could finish Pushbot & Minibot. I’ve been having a great time with it so far, though. Rime was a fun little pseudo-puzzle game, and it had a fox you could actually pet (at one point, anyway)! Breath of the Wild also had foxes, but I couldn’t pet them no matter how hard I tried. And I tried very hard. Of course, Mario Odyssey is out now, and I didn’t even mention that in the last post because it seemed like such a far-future thing. So… I will likely disappear for a long time again. Thirty games is a good place to take a break! I’ll be back again in the future, I’m sure. In the meantime, have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!
