Greetings, everybody! My seventh game is finished, and you can play it right here! The theme for #onegameamonth this month was “Snow Day!” Because it’s December, McFunkypants (that’s the guy who runs #onegameamonth) encouraged us to “take it easy” and do “something small.” I already did that last month, though, so I decided instead to do just the opposite! The result is A Snowball’s Chance, and I’m pretty sure it’s my best work to date.
I’m not sure if I’m getting better at this or if I was just feeling refreshed after slacking off with The Luckiest Person, but I managed to get pretty ambitious with this one and still finish it in three weeks. It’s my first game to have sound and actual gameplay at the same time! It’s also my first game to have music! Special thanks to my mom, by the way, for helping with the music. Or… for writing it, basically. Helping is more what I did. She wrote it. Special thanks also to my many playtesters, such as my entire immediate family and Richard of String Trees fame (because we’re famous over there at String Trees).
I’m super happy with the way this game turned out and I hope you’ll all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. So go play A Snowball’s Chance and have a Merry Christmas (or Wassailia, or Decemberween, or what have you)!
